The Oak Wilt Coalition is a partnership between private, nonprofit and governmental organizations. Led by the Arboriculture Society of Michigan (ASM), the partnership includes representatives from Michigan State University, Michigan Departments of Natural Resources and Agriculture and Rural Development, ReLeaf Michigan, Michigan Forest Association, electric utilities and private companies.
To facilitate collaboration among academia, government, industry, and non-profit to reduce the effects of Oak Wilt on the citizens and natural resources of Michigan.
The impacts of Oak Wilt in Michigan are reduced through education, and collaboration among key entities, resulting in science-based oak wilt best manageme practices that are utilized appropriately by both professionals and the public.
